I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
